Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in two places: the TaskDorm website and the Tili app. They are described separately below. Tili is a private, local-first budgeting app. It does not require an account, does not connect to your bank, contains no ads, and does not use third-party analytics or advertising.
The TaskDorm website
The TaskDorm website is a simple, informational site. It does not ask you to create an account or sign in, and it does not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically process basic technical information, such as server logs and IP addresses, to serve, secure, and operate the site. This is standard website operation and is not used to identify you personally or to advertise to you.
If you email hello@taskdorm.com with a website question, your message is handled through ordinary email systems outside the app, so please share only what is necessary. The website may also link to the Apple App Store or other sites, which have their own privacy practices.
The Tili app
The rest of this policy explains how the Tili app handles information.
What Tili stores on your device
Tili lets you enter and manage budgeting information, including transactions, budgets, categories, savings goals, bills, subscriptions, reminders, receipt images, recognized receipt text, FSA and HSA notes, and app settings. This information is stored on your device. TaskDorm does not receive or store your Tili entries on its servers.
No account, bank connection, or advertising
Tili does not require an account. It does not connect to your bank or financial institution. It does not sell your information, does not use your budgeting data for advertising, and does not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Receipts and text recognition
Tili can attach receipt images and use on-device text recognition to help read details from a receipt. Receipt images and recognized text are stored on your device unless you export or share them. Tili does not send receipts to reimbursement providers, insurers, employers, plan administrators, or government agencies.
FSA and HSA information
Tili includes optional tools for organizing records that may be relevant to FSA, HSA, or similar reimbursement workflows. Tili does not decide whether an item is eligible, does not guarantee reimbursement, and does not submit claims. Review your plan documents and consult your plan administrator before relying on any record for reimbursement.
Voice entry
Quick Entry includes an optional microphone. When you tap it, Tili uses your device’s speech recognition to turn what you say into editable text that you review before anything is saved. This uses Apple’s speech recognition; where on-device recognition is not available, Apple may process the audio to return the text. Tili does not use the microphone in the background and adds no third-party transcription.
Reminders and notifications
If you turn on reminders, Tili schedules local notifications on your device for things like bills, subscriptions, and trial dates. These are handled on your device, not through a server, and you can manage notification permission in your iOS settings.
App Lock and device security
Tili offers an optional App Lock that uses your device’s Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode. Device authentication is handled by Apple on your device. TaskDorm does not receive or store your biometric information, and Tili does not create a separate password.
Exports and sharing
Tili lets you export or share certain information, such as a CSV or a reimbursement packet. When you export or share, that information leaves Tili and is handled by the app, service, device feature, or person you choose. You are responsible for reviewing what you export or share.
Deleting your data
Because your data is stored on your device, you can delete individual entries where supported, use Clear All to remove local app data, or delete the app. TaskDorm cannot restore data that exists only on your device, so keep an exported copy first if you want to preserve it.
Support email
If you contact us for support, you may choose to provide your email address and the information in your message. Please do not include sensitive financial, medical, reimbursement, tax, or personal information unless it is necessary for your request. Children
Tili is not directed to children under 13, and TaskDorm does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through Tili.
International use
Tili may be available outside the United States in English. Your Tili information is stored primarily on your device. If you email us or choose to share information with other services, that information may be processed according to those services’ practices.
Changes to this policy
TaskDorm may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised Last Updated date.
