Terms of Use

Last updated: July 11, 2026

These Terms of Use apply to Tili, a budgeting app from TaskDorm. By downloading, accessing, or using Tili, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Your use of the TaskDorm website is governed by the separate Website Terms of Use. How Tili handles information is described in the Privacy Policy.

1. What Tili is

Tili is a private, manual, local-first budgeting app for iPhone. It helps you enter and review transactions, budgets, savings goals, bills, subscriptions, receipts, reports, and reminders. Tili is designed to help you organize your own information. It is not a bank, financial institution, accounting service, tax service, medical service, reimbursement service, insurance service, or legal service.

2. No financial, tax, legal, medical, or reimbursement advice

Tili does not provide financial, tax, legal, accounting, medical, or reimbursement advice. Any categories, reports, reminders, suggestions, text-recognition results, receipt notes, and FSA or HSA references are provided for organization and convenience only. You are responsible for reviewing important information before you rely on it.

3. Manual entries and your responsibility

Tili depends on the information you enter, review, edit, import, export, or choose to save. You are responsible for the accuracy of your entries. Tili can make mistakes, including with parsing, text recognition, category suggestions, dates, amounts, and reminders, so review important details before you make decisions or share records.

4. Budgets, goals, bills, and reports

Tili may calculate totals, remaining amounts, goal progress, upcoming reminders, and category reports from the information you save. These calculations are provided for convenience. Tili does not guarantee that any budget, bill, subscription, reminder, report, or goal calculation is complete, accurate, or suitable for your situation, so review important financial information independently.

5. Reminders and notifications

If you turn them on, Tili can schedule local reminders on your device for things like bills, subscriptions, and trial dates. These reminders are handled on your device and are not sent from a server. Tili does not guarantee that a reminder will be delivered, so do not rely on it as your only reminder for an important date.

6. Receipts, text recognition, and FSA or HSA records

Tili can store receipt images and use on-device text recognition to help read receipt details, and it can help you mark possible FSA or HSA items and prepare a records packet to share. Tili does not determine whether an expense is eligible for reimbursement, does not submit claims, does not contact plan administrators, and does not guarantee that you will be reimbursed. Review your plan rules and documentation requirements before you submit anything.

7. Local storage, App Lock, and data loss

Tili stores your data on your device. This keeps it private, but it also means TaskDorm may not have a copy of your data. If your device is lost, damaged, erased, reset, or replaced, your Tili data may be lost unless you have exported or otherwise kept a copy. TaskDorm does not guarantee backup, restoration, or recovery of data stored on your device. Tili also offers an optional App Lock that uses your device’s Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode; it relies on your device’s authentication and does not create a separate Tili password.

8. Exports and sharing

Tili lets you export or share certain information, such as a CSV or a PDF packet. When you export or share, you are responsible for reviewing the contents and choosing where to send it. TaskDorm is not responsible for how other apps, services, recipients, or storage providers handle your information after you export or share it.

9. Subscriptions and free trial

Tili offers an optional paid subscription, Tili Pro, as an auto-renewable subscription with a 14-day free trial and a monthly or yearly option. Subscriptions and any in-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store using your Apple ID, and pricing is shown in the app before you purchase.

  • A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.

  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings after purchase.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. If you start a free trial and do not cancel before it ends, the subscription begins and your Apple ID is charged.

  • If your subscription is not active, Tili stays usable as a read-only app. You can still open, view, export, and delete your existing data. Creating and editing new records requires an active subscription or trial.

  • Refunds, billing, and cancellation are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms.

10. App availability and changes

TaskDorm may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue Tili or any feature at any time. Some features may change before or after launch. TaskDorm does not guarantee that every feature will remain available.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Tili, interfere with its operation, attempt to reverse engineer the app except where permitted by law, use it for unlawful purposes, or use it in a way that violates the rights of others.

12. Use at your own risk and no warranties

Your use of Tili is at your own risk. Tili is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskDorm disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskDorm will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost savings, lost reimbursements, financial losses, tax consequences, or business losses arising from or related to your use of Tili. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

14. Apple’s role

If you download Tili from the Apple App Store, Apple’s terms and policies may also apply. These Terms are between you and TaskDorm only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Tili or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Tili, and is not responsible for any product warranties, product claims, or claims that Tili infringes intellectual-property rights. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

16. Changes to these Terms

TaskDorm may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised Last Updated date.
